Mr Ogba made a post on his verified Linkedin Account marking his official graduation from Harvard
Last year, when I took a sabbatical from TEMPLARS and decided to return to school to undertake a full-time, in-person graduate degree programme at Harvard University, my concerns were twofold: I was going to spend long periods of time away from the people and things that I had become accustomed to, and I had been out of the formal school system for almost 15 years. I knew that reintegrating into the system was going to be challenging, but I also grossly underestimated the work involved. Fast forward to today as I formally graduate from here and look back at the journey this past year, Harvard was everything that I anticipated and more. My education was intellectually stimulating, culturally enriching, empowering and value adding. I am excited to be inducted into this hall of fame of global community and business leaders, reformers, founders, and innovators. I am grateful to my partners at Templars under the leadership of Oghogho Akpata who said “go do your thing, Desmond” and to all my colleagues at the firm who covered for me creditably like I was never away. A special shout out to the renowned and excellent faculty at Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School, where I took all the courses that culminated into this. I am grateful for the interactions with classmates and other very brilliant minds from across the Harvard schools, most of whom have not only become part of my expanded network but are now true friends indeed. Immense gratitude to God, to my wife Ijeoma and to my entire family for supporting me through it all.
