Today marks the most auspicious event in our continental calendar. It’s Africa Day and I couldn’t be prouder to be called an African.
Today is a day set aside to appreciate and celebrate the art, cultural diversity and everything that makes our beloved continent formidable.
Whether you’re an African in diaspora or present here in the continent, it is imperative we all commit to striving for continental peace regardless of all the odds stacked high against us.
It is important for us, as Africans, to understand that we are unconquerable if we stick together as one.
I am not unaware of the many challenges that plague us as a whole, but, one thing I’m certain of is, our strength as a people lies in our unity; and together, we can vanquish our common adversaries.
However far-fetched it seems, I’m confident Africa will rise to undeniably great heights.
I am committed to working with willing Africans to attain sustainable development in African economies and I implore us all to take up the gauntlet in whatever vantage position we find ourselves.
God bless our Native Africa!
